Dust Enclosures

Why?

Protecting your employees, your family, your clients and your inventory during a remodel is a big deal and should not be taken lightly. Not having proper dust control procedures in place can cost thousands in contamination cleanup, employee/client health issues, equipment damage, etc. Dust control is a big part and concern of the remodel industry, both commercial and residential. As we become more aware of the long-term effects of mold, lead dust, concrete dust and asbestos, people are beginning to see both the short-term and long-term benefits of this step.

Who?

We service all projects from a simple bedroom remodel in a home with lead-painted walls to 1,000,000-square-foot plus commercial remodels. Did you know that in many hospital projects it is a requirement to have a negative air enclosure built? Projects are not even allowed to begin until these enclosures pass certain tests to verify they are successfully built.

How do we make them?

Our enclosure systems can be made from a variety of items and can be made for short-term or long-term usage. Budgets are also respected to be sure you are getting the proper system to meet your specific needs. Common systems are framed by our crews using 2x4 lumber that is then finished with 6 mil plastic (flame retardant plastic is available). We can also finish with temporary drywall, plywood, netted plastics, etc. Negative air machines are then installed to filter the air and to keep the dust in the workspace. These machines have a series of filters of which one is a HEPA Filter capable of capturing mold, lead, asbestos, dust, etc. We can even install manometers to record negative pressure readings of the space.

How did we get so good at them?

Our environmental division puts these enclosures up every day in occupied workspace, schools, hospitals, etc. before performing asbestos, lead and mold removal. We have seen thousands of circumstances in dealing with unique heights, open ceiling cavities, plenum ceilings, etc. and are confident we can find a solution to any situation.

Keeping the dust in the construction space can save thousands of dollars in contamination costs and keeps your clients happy. We are very experienced in this as we create these daily for asbestos containment enclosures (which area very critical). We can create a negative pressure environment complete with HEPA Filtered negative air or air exchange machines. We understand getting all areas blocked off including those above ceilings, HVAC system bladdering, etc.

We buy tapes and plastics by the truckload allowing us to do the work effectively so your key personnel can keep busy doing what they are best at doing also.
