Many demo and renovation contractors are not aware of properly dealing with asbestos on their projects. These can lead to trouble for the contractor and the property owner. Ignorance is not acceptable and will not save you from getting in trouble. Asbestos knowledge is readily available at the DNR websites, DHS websites as well as certified contractors.

There are also agencies that are involved with asbestos rules and safety besides the DNR that include examples like OSHA and the Department of Health. Employee safety and public safety are concerns as well as your own safety. Please do not make assumptions about asbestos. Be sure your information is correct.
